About Test in Danish 1 and requirements to pass

Test in Danish 1 (PD1) consists of a written and an oral part. Read more about each of the sub-tests, how the test takes place and the requirements to pass the test.

The test consists of a written and an oral part. The written part consists of reading comprehension and written presentation. The oral part consists of oral communication.


Requirements to pass

You get one mark for the written part and one mark for the oral part. The test is passed if you get a grade average of at least 2.0. In the calculation of the average, the oral part is weighted with two thirds, and the written part with one third. For example, if you got a 4 in the written part and a 7 in the oral part, you will get a grade average of 6.

In The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the written part of the test relates to level A2 and the oral part relates to level B1.

You can register for Test in Danish 1 if you attend module 6 of Danish Education 1 (DU1). You can also register for the test if you want a test certificate that shows that you have learned Danish at a level that corresponds to A2 in CEFR in reading comprehension and written presentation and B1 in oral communication.

Test in written presentation
Description
Duration and aids The written exam lasts 1 hour. You get a place in a room with other test takers. You write your answer by hand. With some test providers, you may be given the opportunity to write on a computer. It is permitted to use all types of dictionaries.
Subtest 1 You must fill in, for example, a form or a form with information. The information you must write is in a text that you receive together with the form or form. The information you must enter can be, for example, a name or an address. To solve the task, you must be able to find the correct information in the text and write it in the form.
Subtest 2 You must write a short notice of a minimum of 20 words. It can, for example, be a notice about some things you would like to sell. There is a picture in the task with the things it is about. You must write a little about the things in the picture and write what they cost. To solve the task, you must be able to write the information that is important so that others can know something about the things.
